• What's the "official name" of your products? "UFO InterFax SOHO" or "InterFax" or "UFO InterFax"?
  The full names of our E-Fax series products are:
  UFO Fax Server
  UFO Fax Server Lite
  UFO InterFax SOHO
  UFO Fax Client Express
  UFO Fax Browser
  UFO Fax Viewer
  UFO Fax Editor
  UFO Fax Editor Lite
  Blue parts are the abbreviated versions of each products. The full names are used to be distinguished between our products and products from other companies. (as you know, Fax Server/Fax Client/..... are too popular to be distinguished!)
  Also, "Lite" is added if there are a standard version. Normally, Lite version is free for download.
  "SOHO" and "Express" are added after "InterFax" and "Fax Client" because we are planning to develop a full version of them. Also, "SOHO" and "Express" fits the nature of those products. You can still call them "Fax Client" and "InterFax" if you like.

• What is the difference between FaxServer and InterFax?
  FaxServer is more like a real fax machine, however, InterFax is an partial integration of "FaxClient" and "Fax Server" for SOHO or personal use. As you know, Fax Server should not perform Fax Client functions because they may interfere each other. However, SOHO and personal users don't have many fax to send/receive. It's more convenient to them to integrate two functions together.

• What is the difference between Server mode and Printer mode of FaxServer?
  The Printer Mode can only print out the received fax. The Server Mode, however, can send them to a remote computer through internet. "Server Mode" is important to make one Modem as a "Virtual Fax Machine".

• Can InterFax receive fax from PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network)?
  Yes! You can go to the menu item "VRFax"/"Receive", and then enable or disable the receiving of local fax.

• What is remote fax?
  You need to know the remote IP of the  server which is installed in FaxServer or InterFax. Your local PC works as a client. Then InterFax or faxclient will connect to the server by internet and dial it out.

• What is fax printer driver?
  Fax printer drivers enable you to create a fax file from any application if it supports "print" function.

• What is ref file format?
  Ref file is an enhanced fax file which includes the fax images and related job information. If you want to view a ref file, your have to use InterFax at this time. More information.......
