A consistent communication mechanism is critical to EDI solution. Communication mechanism has the following functions

• Receiver can reply the received date and time automatically upon sender's request.

• Either seller or buyer can initiate the data exchange process. Both are in the same position.

• The data interchange for the same transaction can be as many times as required.

• Every outgoing and incoming mail is saved in the log file attached with the transaction number automatically.
